Poetry: Burned

Installment IV of Through a Prism

By: Amelia Zora Willow

She was wild

there was a fire within her

she feared

that if she remained untamed

like wildfire burning everything in its way

it would burn her and everything else that made up her life

then she learnt to live like the sun

burning herself

giving light and warmth to others
